Track Record is the second in a triptych of works that incorporate video editing logics as choreographic devices, following on from the award-winning Tell Distance.
To begin researching the choreographic method for Track Record, in September 2026 Nasim received a Create Space residency at the Sydney Opera House as part of a partnership with Critical Path.
Track Record sees four dancers slip in and out of time with each other and even their own footprints as they misremember the events of a shared road trip. The work draws from eco-horror and road movie tropes to express the collective experience of traversing long distances and anxieties of open space.
